The Buzz
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is gearing up for another major content drop with Season 5, launching on July 23 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. While every new season promises fresh content, this one looks particularly packed with new maps, weapons, Zombies content, and Warzone additions.
Here's what players can expect when Season 5 arrives:
- Five Multiplayer Maps, including the brand-new Jubilee, plus the return of Frequency and Dig, with additional maps arriving later in the season.
- Four New Weapons, headlined by the FG42 Assault Rifle, Gremlin SMGs, Mammoth LMG, and the Mace melee weapon.
- New Multiplayer Modes, including Aim High, Snipers Only, Cranked Demolition, and Blueprint Gunfight.
- A New Zombies Survival Map set at Eidskallen Lighthouse.
- Warzone Expands with the new Drone Labs point of interest in Verdansk.
- Ranked Play Updates with new seasonal rewards across Multiplayer and Warzone.
- A New Battle Pass featuring Operators, weapon blueprints, skins, and cosmetic rewards.
- Limited-Time Events with exclusive unlockables and seasonal challenges.
Whether you're a Multiplayer regular, a Zombies fan, or spend most of your time in Warzone, Season 5 looks like it has something for everyone.
Prediction
Black Ops 7 has consistently delivered solid seasonal updates, and Season 5 appears to continue that trend. The mix of brand-new content alongside returning fan favorites should give players plenty of reasons to jump back in.
While it doesn't look like a complete overhaul, the amount of content arriving on day one makes this one of the most promising Call of Duty seasons in recent memory. If Treyarch delivers on what's been shown, Season 5 should keep players busy well into the summer.
